DJ Red Jenn and Emil rock the house for the next JookJoint Blues.  Red Jenn starts off as your pre-dance instructor.  Come out early for her lesson at 9:30 pm.   Both DJs have extensive experience DJing for blues dancers.

RED JENN - DJ & DANCE INSTRUCTOR:
Jenny has been a regular DJ at JookJoint Shimmy who has gained in popularity DJing swing and blues locally in NYC not only at JookJoint Blues but also Frim Fram, NYSDS and Swing Remix.  She also has traveled to blues dance scenes such as Philly, Baltimore, Boston.   She has also DJed big national blues events such as NYC Blues Blaze, Philly Lindy Love and Baltimore Blues Summit.

"Whether it is swing or blues Jenn enjoys mixing it up and offering something for everyone. She focuses on playing music that is energetic, dynamic and danceable. EMIL CHUCK- SPECIAL GUEST DJ:
Emil Thomas Chuck began as a ballroom DJ in the Raleigh-Durham area as the advisor to the Duke and UNC ballroom clubs, but has most recently turned his interest to west coast swing and blues. In addition to an impromptu Jello and Blues party at MadJam 2011, venues he has DJed include Ballroom College Night at Chevy Chase Ballroom, Dirt Cheap Blues (Virginia Beach), Chileswing Blues (Baltimore), Shades of Blues (San Francisco), DJ Experiment New Years Eve (Philadelphia), Boston Fusion Exchange, Virginia is for Swingers (Arlington VA), Pasta and Pancakes Party (Charlotte), and dances with the George Mason University ballroom club. He is working with Ken Roesel co-DJing for All Things Blues, a bimonthly blues/soul dance at Glen Echo (Washington DC). He's also DJed four weddings of couples who met at dances he has organized and will gladly offer DJ services for anyone who would give him a free weekend pass.
