Saturday's blues dance party is moving to Basic Ballroom Studio for St. Patty's weekend!

LESSON
We are bringing in 2 fabulous teachers for the lesson which begins at 10 pm. They are Dan Repsch and Annabel Truesdell. This duo are beginning to rack up the championships on the national blues circuit. They have both won and at least placed in recent blues dance weekend competions not the least of which were Blues Blaze 2009 and Sweet Molasses 2010.

GENERAL DANCING
As you all already know Dan is also an amazing DJ. He will DJ for us as well. Stay tuned for updates on additional DJs.

- Basic Ballroom is a new dance studio equipped with a great sound system, fabulous wooden floors, nice lighting for dancing, candle lit tabled seating and a changing room with racks for your coats.

The next Blueskool 3-week class series starts on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010. It will be taught by the fabulous Mike Legett known to most as "Mike the Girl".

MIKE LEGETT has been teaching blues dancing in Philly, Tennessee and at several national blues workshops. She is a championship competitor & performer on the national blues dancing scene.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Blues Vocabulary & Musicality - If you ever felt limited by your knowledge of blues, this is the class for you. With so many kinds of blues music out there, there are about as many ideas about how to move to that music. So we'll cover some of the kinds of blues like micro, drag, jookin, groove & ballroom. We'll give you a healthy dose of musicality, and a whopping dose of new movement for your bluesy vocabulary.
